Yonge Potato: Fresh Turkish Fast Food & Authentic Baked Potatoes Near Finch Station

l've been curious about this place and finally had a chance to try. This is a small Turkish fast food restaurant near Finch station. (They have 4 tables. They say everything's Halal) Ngl, I was a bit underestimated their menu before visiting. So it was quite a surprise in a good way how fresh the ingredients are. We ordered burger combo, sandwich, and Dubai chocolate fruit cup. Everything was delicious! I normally don't eat fries, but this one I finished the fries that comes with burger combo...super crispy and fresh (you'll see what I mean when you try it) We shared a classic potato that was a very generous portion.

I had a great experience here! The food was fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. I tried the kumpir and the köfte sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and the prices were fair. The staff was friendly and everything came out quickly. And their waffle is truly the cherry on top — the perfect sweet finish! I keep coming back again and again because it’s just that good. Definitely a place I’d recommend to everyone!

Found this place on Google and decided to give this place a try! It's very cute and cozy inside. The lady (I'm assuming she's the owner?) serving us was so lovely and sweet! We ordered the veggies baked potato and chicken sandwich combo. The veggie baked potato had all the toppings and it was very unique and tasty! It was hearty and filling. It's a must try for sure! My partner had the sandwich and found the bread to be very tasty! The prices were very reasonable and the portions were huge. Will be back to try their other items soon!

I saw online and we decided to try out. We ordered baked potato classic and burger combo for takeout. It is conveniently located near finch subway station. Atmosphere is great, cozy, with available seats indoors. Service was fantastic. She is pleasant, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Baked potato classic is excellent! It tastes great, soft, and flavorful. I got all toppings and complemented the meal well. Burger combo is awesome, satisfying, and fries were crispy. Overall, i highly recommend this location. It is a gem in the area and will definitely order again.

The mashed potatoes are incredibly cheesy with that perfect, stretchy cheese pull we all love! their Turkish coffee taste So strong and flavorful, with that cute kitty espresso cups! Don’t miss out the huge, juicy strawberry covered in thick home made chocolate and pistachio paste ：）！

Excellent food and service. The owner was absolutely lovely and really passionate about her products. Come for the potato, stay for the desert! The magnolia Dubai chocolate magnolia is to die for. It’s not overly sweet, packed with flavour and oh so fresh! Here, you’ll find a typical Istanbul kumpir (baked potato) stuffed with whatever you like! It’s cheesy and it keeps you interested at every bite. You can also grab sandwiches, burgers or a Turkish coffee or cup of tea. Definitely recommends!

Top marks for the super friendly service and the cozy atmosphere and I want to support this local business so I’m giving an overall 5 stars. I really want to give the food score a 5 as well but will do 4 but that’s likely just due to my own ignorance. Other reviews say the loaded potato is very authentic and I’m sure it is. I’ve just never eaten it before. It was very large and tasty and good value, though somehow I was a bit surprised by the boiled hot dogs and seemingly canned condiments. In my head I was expecting grilled flavour for the sausage and maybe pickles and condiments made in house? I would probably pay more if the ingredients were taken up a notch but somehow I think that would lessen the charm. It’s like a good hot dog stand served up on a potato. Seems like it would be absolutely amazing late night post-drinks food but then it’s a shame this place isn’t open too late. Anyway, still 5 stars for what it is.

I’ve walked by this cute-looking place countless times and have always been curious about it! So I searched up the place and saw that it has very high reviews so I was like “no way it’s that good”. My partner and I tried it out for the first time earlier this week and went back today and yes, IT’S THAT GOOD! To start off, the owner of the store (Sidar) is a very very sweet and hospitable person. It was certainly heartwarming to hear about how she started Yonge Potato and worked towards making her dreams come true. We can tell that she takes pride in the food that she makes and sell. Baked Potato Classic - very filling and hearty traditional Turkish street food dish. Generous portion. There were so many toppings that came and pulled this dish together. The flavours were very good! I usually don’t like olives but it somehow tasted very good here! Dubai Chocolate Fruit - strawberry and banana cup with high quality melted Belgium chocolate and pistachio butter with kunafa. Hands-down the best Dubai chocolate cup I’ve ever had in my life. (I had a poor experience at another place but I would come back everyday to eat this). The sauces were silky, creamy and warm. Felt like it was melting in my mouth. The crispy kunafa added a great balance to the flavours and texture without overpowering it. The bananas were sweet and strawberries slightly tarte which makes for a good combo. I was afraid of this dessert being too sweet like my other experience but it was honestly a good “sweet but not too sweet dessert” which suited my Asian palate very well! Definitely a place that my partner and I would visit on a regular basis :) I would strongly recommend to give this place a try!
